I was humbled by the birth of my son Seth. He frees my imagination providing opportunity for happy accident and grace to influence the finished product. When Seth was two years old, I observed him creating. I discovered through his drawings: simple, crayoned patchworks that now resonate deeply within my own abstract work. Inspired and invigorated by a renewed sense of continuity, and awed by the mystery of how creation occurs, I am now painting richly varied works; exploring many patterns, textures, and colours. I paint from the inside out. Painting is where I find balance, where I express serenity, where I communicate purity.
